Welcome to the Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida. We are one of twenty-five clinical/basic science departments in the college – the largest of six colleges in the Health Science Center.

The Department of Radiology is committed to providing comprehensive education, research, and patient care programs. The majority of these programs are conducted at our primary teaching hospital – Shands at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida. However, we are also affiliated with the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Our education program includes a medical student program that encompasses three courses; a fellowship program that encompasses two ACGME approved sub-specialty programs; an ACGME approved residency program; a post-doctoral training program; and a Continuing Medical Education Program.

Our patient care program includes ten clinical divisions: Abdominal Imaging; Breast; Cardiac Imaging; Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology; Nuclear Medicine; Pediatric Radiology; Thoracic Radiology; Ultrasonography; Vascular and Interventional Radiology; and two basic science divisions: Informatics and Physics. Each of these divisions is supported by outstanding faculty members that are committed to excellence in patient care.

Our research program includes a variety of research endeavors that cover a diverse range of interests. In addition to conducting independent research projects, many of our faculty members are also collaborating with other departments within the college. The administration, faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students that comprise the Department of Radiology look forward to serving you.

Sincerely,
