Dr Ashish Sethi (1st year radiology resident) was selected to participate in the Florida Radiological Society Legislative and Government Relations Fellowship in Tallahassee, FL. Each year the Florida Radiologic Society funds radiology residents from the state of Florida for the Tallahassee fellowship which takes place while the Florida legislature is in session. Along with Alison Dudley, lobbyist for the FRS, the residents met with members of the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives. The purpose of the fellowship was to learn more about the government and political factors shaping the future of medicine and radiology. This was an opportunity for the participating residents to experience lobbying first hand and to share their personal experiences in radiology with government representatives.
