We are proud to highlight the outstanding contributions of Dr. Tara Massini to the Department of Radiology. Since graduating from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completing her radiology residency and fellowship here, Dr. Massini has been a dedicated member of our neuroradiology team. Trained and mentored by our esteemed neuro faculty, she has continued the department’s tradition of excellence since 2012.
Dr. Massini’s expertise is instrumental in advancing both clinical care and educational excellence. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology and the longtime Program Director for the Neuroradiology Fellowship, she plays a vital role in training the next generation of radiologists. Her commitment to mentoring residents and fellows encourages attentive analysis, meticulousness, and professional growth.
In addition to her clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Massini actively contributes to cutting-edge research in neuroradiology. Her work supports a broad range of projects, including ongoing clinical trials for high-grade glioma treatment, and has resulted in publications and presentations on head and neck cancers and benign skull base lesions. She also provides expert consultation on incidental findings for a long-term NIH-funded study on adolescent brain development and collaborates closely with colleagues in the UF Radiologic Physics department.
At the University of Florida’s Department of Radiology, we deeply value Dr. Massini’s dedication to academic excellence, research innovation, and mentorship. Her steady leadership continues to inspire our department’s pursuit of radiology innovation and education.
