UF Radiology at SIIM23 Annual Meeting

The SIIM23(Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine) Annual Meeting was held June 14-16 in Austin, TX and UF Radiology was in attendance. Dr. Reza Forghani presented an InformaticsTECH Talk (sponsored by qure.ai) titled “Clinically Impactful AI Deployment: End-to-End Image Analysis and Reporting”. Dr. Forghani was also invited to discuss the outlook for healthcare when leveraging AI for clinical and non-clinical use cases at a Fireside Chat event organized by Microsoft and Nuance.

Additionally, a member of Dr. Forghani’s lab received the Helen and Paul Chang Foundation New Investigator Travel Award at the meeting. Dr. Saba Ghazimoghadam received the award for the abstract, “AI-Enhanced Metastatic Nodal Tumor Detection on Neck CT Scans”. The study was co-authored by Drs. Reza Forghani and Kevin Pierre, along with their UF colleagues, Mohammad Tahsin Mostafiz, Mahfuz Al Hasan, and Dr. Navid Asadi.
