Analysis of Simulation Results wins Whitley Award

We would like to congratulate Dr. Christopher Sistrom and the WIDI Team on their recent publication, Full Resolution Simulation for Evaluation of Critical Care Imaging Interpretation; Part 1: Fixed Effects Identify Influences of Exam, Specialty, Fatigue, and Training on Resident Performance, which was awarded the 2020 Joseph E. and Nancy O. Whitley Award from the Association of University Radiologists (AUR).  The Whitley award is honors the best educational paper of the paper of the past academic year.

This publication is Part 1 of the landmark two-part paper that validates the Wisdom in Diagnostic Imaging method of evaluation. This work itself and the peer validation of its value recognizes UF’s innovative commitment to moving Radiology educational methodology into the modern era by fully leveraging the new tools at hand to perpetuate active, rather than dominantly passive, educational experiences.
