2013 Annual Meeting of the FRS & FRBMA

This year’s Florida Radiologic Society meeting was held at the Eau Palm Resort and Spa in Palm Beach, FL July 19th-21st. Radiologists, business managers, and 40 residents from all over the state attended the meeting which focused on “Practical Solutions for Successful Radiology in the 21st Century”. Representing the UF Department of Radiology were fourth year residents, Erin Cooke, Neha Patel, and Chris Stephens; third year residents, Abeer Ahmed and Garrett Woodbury; second year residents, Aaron Kline and Chris Lazo; fellow, Matt Harris; and faculty, Lori Deitte, Howard Noble, and Sandip Patel.

Besides having a strong UF contingent at the meeting, involvement by the department was evident throughout. Chris Lazo participated in the golf tournament and was part of the winning team. Lori Deitte lectured at the Resident and Fellows Section of the meeting regarding changes to the ABR core exam. Erin Cooke, Neha Patel, Chris Stephens, Abeer Ahmed, Garrett Woodbury, and Chris Lazo also participated in the Resident Poster Symposium. We are proud that Neha Patel’s poster, “Aggressive Fibromatosis at the site of benign breast biopsy”, was one of the three posters awarded out of the 24 submitted.
