Dr Aaron Kline (1st year radiology resident) and Dr Philip Scherer (2nd year radiology resident) had the opportunity to participate in the Florida Radiological Society Legislative and Government Relations Fellowship in Tallahassee, FL on March 18-21, 2013. Along with residents from other radiology programs in Florida and Alison Dudley, lobbyist for the FRS, they met with members of the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives. The purpose of the fellowship was to learn more about the government and political factors shaping the future of medicine and radiology and to discuss topics including health care budget, managed care, clinical practice reimbusement, and graduate medical education.
