Cardiac Imaging Program

Faculty:

The cardiac imaging section was formed through an interdisciplinary effort involving Radiologists and Adult and Pediatric Cardiologists. These physicians have completed additional training in the acquisition and interpretation of cardiac studies as needed to be credentialed in this new specialty. In this section we have a program in cardiovascular imaging that offers a unique blend of Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI and Nuclear Cardiac Imaging.

The interdisciplinary approach permits teaching of image interpretation as well as clinical utility and appropriateness of the various testing modalities. The Cardiac Imaging Section also has direct access to correlative cardiac ultrasound and coronary angiography.

This section has state-of-the-art high-speed computer access to all Radiology PACS and RIS, as well as the entire hospital HIS for individual patient case evaluation.

Cardiac image analysis takes place on multiple 3D workstations with the most advanced equipment available in the industry.

Our team offers a Cardiac Imaging Workshop for Cardiologists and Radiologists interested in becoming proficient in the acquisition and interpretation of CCTA. The Workshop is a five-day, hands-on, 40 hour CME course, offered weekly. Course information is available through the Cardiac Imaging Program web site.
