New Abdominal Imaging Faculty

The Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr Joseph R Grajo, Dr Nupur Verma, and Dr Erinn Cooke, who will be joining our team effective July 1, 2015.

  • Dr Joseph R Grajo
    Dr Grajo is currently an Abdominal Imaging Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. He was awarded his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
  • Dr Nupur Verma
    Dr Verma is currently a Trauma and Emergency Radiology Fellow at the University of Washington in Seattle. She received her undergraduate degree and was awarded her medical degree from the University of Miami, where she also completed an internship in Internal Medicine. She began a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio and completed her residency at the University of Washington.
  • Dr Erinn Cooke
    Dr Cooke is currently a Breast/Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellow here in the Department of Radiology. She received her undergraduate degree from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. She also received a masters of public health degree from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was awarded her medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She completed an internship at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut and she completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency here at the University of Florida.

In their roles as Assistant Professors, Drs Grajo, Verma and Cooke will focus on patient care, teaching of house staff and medical students, and leading interdisciplinary conferences. All three will work in the Abdominal Imaging division reading CT, MR, and ultrasound. Dr Cooke will also perform body interventional procedures. Dr Cooke will add expertise as a breast imager, Dr Grajo will add expertise in body MR and GU imaging, and Dr Verma will add expertise in emergency radiology and add to the Cardiac group coverage.
